Three Brands Do It.

I limit myself to 3 brands of yarn for all my soakers.
Lion Brand's - Fishermen's Wool
a nice undyed wool that comes in many
shades of off white to grey to brown.

It is pure virgin wool that still has its natural lanolin oil
and is soft, warm, and naturally water resistant.

Finished soaker with longer waist that can be pull up or left rolled down like the picture.

Two more soakers made from Fisherman's wool showing the variety of colors.

Paton's - Classic Wool
Love the choice of colors, especially the way the variegated's pool their colors.

The start of a soaker ....

And the finished soaker.

Knit Pick's - Wool of the Andes
Comes from Peruvian sheep that are a cross between Corriedale and Merino.
This wool is strong(the Corriedale) with a nice softness(the Merino).
I do not use 100% Merino wool because it tends to
have too much stretch to it and you want a soaker that stays up
but this blend and the way I knit the waist band work beautifully.

Longies, Shorties, Woolies, Soakers -
They all do the job when it comes to covering diapers.

And, he who must be knitted around.
